Each property is regularly inspected to ensure health, safety, and comfort standards are consistently met. Dedicated Housing Support Workers
Every Sure Start Housing property is assigned a trained housing support worker who:
- Conducts regular wellbeing check-ins
- Reports and follows up on maintenance tasks
- Provides emotional support and guidance
- Ensures residents' needs and safety are always prioritised
Their ongoing involvement helps create a stable and welcoming living environment for vulnerable adults.

Fast & Flexible Placements
We understand that urgent housing needs require urgent action.
- Same-day placements are available when required.
- Standard placements are completed within 72 hours of referral.
Once settled, our focus shifts from crisis response to personal development, helping each individual regain security, structure, and self-belief.
Psychologically Informed Support (PIE Approach)
Many individuals face homelessness due to complex challenges such as:
- Family breakdown or domestic abuse
- Substance misuse
- Mental health difficulties
- Offending history
Sure Start Housing adopts a Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE) approach — meaning we understand each person’s journey, respond with empathy, and tailor support to their emotional and practical needs.
